About

Dimosthenis Prodromou is a Greek visual artist. He studied Fine Art & Moving Image at the University of East London.
His artwork is made out of an assemblage of different colored papers in the same way as in the tecnifique of collage. His prime material is usually taken from fashion magazines. By cutting out color from magazines, he is essentially deconstructing existing images and isolating specific colors or patterns. This recontextualization and  appropriation of existing images, is re-purposing them on a new image. The papers are incorporated in such a way to be able to form depth and movement. His work raise that medium to a whole new level of sophistication and modernity. It is a meditative practice that promotes mindfulness and present-moment awareness. The sensibility of portraiture combined with the graphic impact of placement makes these works powerful.
His works are found in collections in Greece, Europe  and the United States. Please contact us for availability and pricing of the original pieces as well as limited edition prints.
